POLICIES

How We Keep Things Easy: Studio Policies You Should Know

  • When you book with one of our artists, you’re agreeing to our studio policies - but don’t worry, they’re all about keeping your expereince safe and exceptional!

    • Every tattoo starts at $120 + GST, this covers our prep work, sanitized equipment, and custom stencil creation. *Remember: This is just the baseline! Final pricing reflects your designs size, detail, and the artists’ time. Book a consult to get an accurate quote tailored to your version.

    • AGE POLICY: We love your enthusiasm, but all tattoos require clients to be 18+ with valid government ID. This is both studio policy and provincial law, no exceptions even with parental consent.

    • OUR NAME TATTOO POLICY: We only ink names of immediate family members or lifelong pets - this includes parents, siblings, children, and your fur babies. While we appreciate your love, we can’t tattoo: partner/spouse names, celebrity names, friend names (besties forever…but not on skin). This policy helps us protect your future self, no exceptions.

    • NECK, FACE & HAND TATTOO POLICY: We carefully consider each request for high-visibility placements, these require extra consultation. What to expect: artist discretion applies (we may decline certain designs).

    • To keep our creative space focused and comfortable, we kindly ask you to come solo to your appointment. Why we love this policy: better concentration for your artist, and more privacy for your experience. Need special accommodations? Message us in advance to discuss.

    • Our studio is a shared creative space, we expect kindness toward every artist, client, and guest.

      • ZERO TOLERANCE:

        No abusive language

        No discrimination

        No aggressive behaviour

We’re here to create art in a positive environment, help us keep it that way.

    • As a private studio, we reserve the right to respectfully decline service for any reason, including but not limited to:

      • Safety concerns

      • Inappropriate behaviour

      • Design conflicts with our artistic standardsHealth/medical considerations

      • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

      • Health/medical considerations including those undergoing radiation/chemotherapy

We promise this right is never exercised lightly. Our goal is always to create great art in a professional, comfortable environment for all.

    • Come as you are. We tattoo humans, not labels.

    • To secure your appointment date, a non-refundable deposit is required (applied to your final tattoo cost). Key details:

      • No spots are held without deposit

      • Delayed responses may result in forfeited dates

      Why we do this:

      • Ensures artist time is valued

      • Lets us focus on committed clients

      • Covers preliminary design work

Ready to lock in your date? We’ll send deposit instructions after your consult approval.

    • Your deposit amount will be customized based on:

      • Project Scope - size/complexity of your tattoo

      • Artist Selected - each sets their own deposit scale

    • To ensure we dedicate proper time to your custom piece, all design work begins after deposit. This includes:

      • Concept development

      • Sketching

      • Placement Planning

      Why we work this way:

      • Guarantees committed clients get full attention.

      • Compensates artists for creative labour

      • Prevents unused design work

Your deposit secures both your appointment date and our creative process

    • DEPOSIT TRANSFER: Deposits may be transferred to another client if:

      • No design work has begun

      • 72+ hours notice is provided

      • The new clients’ tattoo is approved by your original artist

Transfers are not permitted if you cancel entirely, this compensates for lost appointment time. Need to transfer? Contact your artist immediately to arrange.

    • We kindly require 72 hours’ notice for appointment changes to protect our artists’ time. Late reschedules may result in deposit forfeiture.

Life happens though! Exceptions can be made, please notify your artist immediately if issues arise. We’ll always try to work with you!

    • Frequent reschedules may result in deposit forfeiture at the artist’s discretion. We’ll always provide a warning first, because we believe in clear communication and mutual respect. *Please understand:

      • Multiple changes disrupt our artists’ schedules

      • We reserve the right to retain deposits after repeated reschedules

      • You’ll always receive notice before any forfeiture

We want to work with you! If you’re having scheduling challenges, let’s discuss alternatives that work for everyone. If you need to cancel, even in the middle of the night, it’s better to contact us than not showing or canceling moments before.

    • Under ideal circumstances, we kindly ask for 1-2 weeks’ notice when possible.

    • Cancel when you are sick! It is not recommended to get a tattoo when you are feeling unwell, and here are some reasons why:

      • Risk of infection is higher

      • Risk of spreading the germs

      • Discomfort: you may feel worse than you already are, and the tattooing process can exacerbate your symptoms.

Heal up first, then ink up! We’ll be here when you’re ready.
